Payment Protection Insurance protects you against involuntary unemployment, illness, accidents or if you are unfit to work.
How will the insurance proceeds be paid out? expand_more
In the event of an insured claim, the insurance company will take over your monthly payments. The outstanding payments for your current credit agreement will be transferred directly to Cembra Money Bank. The payments will be made regardless of any other insurance proceeds.
Will I need to pay back the insurance proceeds? expand_more
No. The insurance proceeds which are paid out do not need to be paid back.
What do I need to do if I need to make a claim? expand_more
You can register your claim directly with the AXA Versicherungen AG, General-Guisan-Strasse 40, 8400 Winterthur, Tel. +41 (0) 848 00 03 98 . You will then be told how to proceed. Please have your agreement number ready.
How can I cancel Payment Protection Insurance? expand_more
You can write to us to cancel Payment Protection Insurance free of charge within 30 days after the start of cover. Please send your cancellation directly to Cembra Money Bank AG, Bändliweg 20, 8048 Zurich, Switzerland.
Payment Protection Insurance may be cancelled 30 days after the start of cover giving at least 30 days notice to the end of the month. Notification in writing must also be sent to the address mentioned above.
How much will I pay for Payment Protection Insurance? expand_more
The premium for your Payment Protection Insurance is charged on the basis of your monthly financing or leasing payment. You pay your insurance premium along with your monthly financing or leasing payment.
Sample calculation for Payment Protection Insurance for a cash loan of CHF 25'000:
Monthly financing payment: CHF 650.-
Payment Protection Insurance: CHF 50.90 (7.829% of financing payment)
Total monthly payment: CHF 700.90
