What services does MoneyProtect provide? expand_more
The insurance covers the outstanding card balance according to the monthly statement issued after the insured incident. The maximum payout is 15,000 Swiss francs. In the event of a claim, 100% of the covered amount is credited to the credit card account of the primary Cembra cardholder.
How much does MoneyProtect cost? expand_more
The premium rate is 0.25% of the monthly card statement balance.
Example:
Outstanding balance according to monthly statement: CHF 1,000.00
Premium rate: 0.25%
Monthly insurance premium: CHF 2.50
Outstanding balance including premium: CHF 1,002.50

How and when can I take out MoneyProtect? expand_more
It is best to take out the insurance together with your credit card agreement. You can also activate the insurance at a later date in eService, call us or directly visit one of our branches for a non-binding consultation.

The primary cardholder of a credit card issued by Cembra.
When does the insurance cover begin? expand_more
The insurance cover begins on the date specified in the confirmation of insurance, which you receive according to your application for membership. (Usually on the first of the month after application. At the earliest from the beginning of the credit card agreement.)
What must I do to make a claim? expand_more
As proof of claim, Generali requires the notice of death as well as an official death certificate. Generali is entitled to demand additional documents.

No, because it belongs to the account of the main cardholder.
How can I cancel MoneyProtect? expand_more
You can cancel the insurance policy free of charge in writing and by post within 30 days from the start of the insurance. Please send notice of cancellation to Cembra Money Bank AG, Bändliweg 20, 8048 Zurich. After these 30 days have elapsed, the insurance can be cancelled subject to a notice period of 30 days from the end of a month. This should also be done in writing and by post to the above address.
